Architect Model of Eagle House in northern New Mexico

Houses are not simple buildings.  An architect must design a home to accommodate a complex collection of inhabitants and activities.   Thorough effort is required in order to clearly understand this program.  Once unraveled, the solution to this puzzle is represented by a floor plan that gracefully supports the daily lives of the home’s occupants.  The house’s elevations must then grow from this plan and must unite the character of the inhabitants with the surrounding context. No two sites are alike and no two clients are alike.  The design of a home is a challenge not to be taken for granted.  It is a venture to be undertaken with care and passion by architect and client.
